Hi, I’m Kat, an actor and headshot photographer based in Glasgow. I’ve always loved taking photos and meeting new people, so when I was looking for a creative project to run alongside my acting career, I thought, why not combine the two? And so, Kat Allen Photography was born.

 

Having had many headshot sessions myself over the years, I totally understand how nerve-racking the whole process can be. That’s why I keep my sessions relaxed and informal so you can feel confident, comfortable, and actually enjoy yourself while we get the shots you need.

What happens at a session with you? 

​

Before the day, I’ll send over some detailed advice to help you feel prepared and confident about what you want from your shoot. Then on the day, we’ll start by chatting about what you’re hoping to get from the shoot, then pop on some of your favourite music, and get to shooting.

​

Throughout the session, I’ll guide you with posing to help capture the look and feel you’re after. We’ll also review images as we go, working together to make sure you’re getting the shots you love.

 

Where are you based?

I shoot at my flat, which is based in the Southside of Glasgow. There is free parking on the street, or I am a 10-minute walk from Cathcart train station. The full address will be given out when you book in.

Anything else I need to know? 

​

I have a dog at home, her name is River (She’s a red Golden Retriever). She will not be present during your session, but just wanted to make this clear in case you have any allergies - I will always check in regarding this when you book.
